Learn Rails3 and Data Curation at HydraCamp 2011
Learn the habits of effective Rails developers, then use the Hydra framework to build interfaces for curating and searching through complex, interconnected content.
All sessions will be held in at the beautiful CoCo Minneapolis coworking space, formerly the Minnesota Grain Exchange.

Days 1 & 2: Becoming an Effective Rails Developer
Day 1: Build a Rails3 Application with RSpec & Cucumber tests and track it in Git
Day 2: MVC, Rails Plugins, Git workflow, and Writing good Tickets
Days 3-5: Data Curation & Rich Search Interfaces
Day 3: Model & Create Fedora objects with XML & RDF Metadata then Index them in Solr
Day 4: Use Blacklight to Build a Customized Solr-driven Search/Discovery Interface
Day 5: Build a User Interface for Creating & Editing Fedora Objects

We strongly encourage registering for the entire week, as much of the material overlaps and each topic will only be covered in depth once.
